Friends of the Park
in Redwood Falls received $3,000 from Becky Bruns
representing the Dominick Bruns Memorial Fund.
Funds will go towards Ramsey Park Zoo renovations, in which
the goat and bird exhibits are scheduled for renovation in
2009.
Friends of the Park is a non-profit organization
that works exclusively for recreational purposes to maintain
and improve Ramsey Park. Their focus since 2008 has been seeking
funding for the continued renovation of Ramsey Park Zoo. |

Don Davis from Farmer's Union
Industries presented the newly formed Redwood Chamber Community
Partner Foundation with a check for the city entrance signs
in the amount of $3000. He is also offering a challenge to
the community that if we can raise an additional $3000 by
the end of the calendar year 2008, his company will match
an additional $3000. Let's meet his challenge!
To update you, the new Redwood Chamber Community Partner
Foundation is a 501 C6 Non-Profit allows all donations to
tax deductible. Their new board of directors includes two
chamber board members and three community members. This year's
project will be the signs but the RCCP will work each year
to help connect the community with the chamber to accomplish
projects that are needed but too large often for one organization
to tackle. |
We are a community united to work together to get things done and
this new outlet will work to engage everyone to feel ownership and
contribute. Contributions by individuals and the business community
together are the key to success in Redwood Falls.
All checks can be made out to the Redwood Chamber Community Partners
Foundation and dropped off at the Redwood Area Chamber
and Tourism Office.

Tuesday, November 11th - ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition contacts

Watch the ABC network on Sunday, December 7th from
7:00pm to 8:00 pm to see the Hayward, MN episode.
Wednesday, Oct. 1st, A&W Furniture received
a call from the hit ABC show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. A
senior design producer of the show was calling to request that A&W
Furniture provide the furniture and accessories for an upcoming
episode of the show. The home being "madeover" is located
in Albert Lea, MN for a very deserving family. A&W Furniture
said, "Yes!" and designers from the show were at the store
in Redwood Falls within 3 hours. A&W can confirm that it is
true that the show ACTUALLY builds the home in 7 days. All the furniture
and accessories are set to be delivered by the A&W Warehouse
crew on Monday, Oct. 6th. The episode is set to air sometime in
November or December - we will keep you posted!
